Grow is designed for donors, government agencies, and non-governmental organizations practitioners and researchers, interested in designing and supporting scalable conservation initiatives.
The success of conservation depends on adopting effective initiatives at a pace and scale commensurate with anthropogenic threats. Despite billions of dollars invested, getting such initiatives “to scale” remains a fundamental challenge for conservation donors, government agencies, and non-governmental organizations. Grow draws on seven decades of research on the “Diffusion of Innovations” and identifies the processes that facilitate the adoption of conservation initiatives.
Grow aims to:
- • Provide theory-informed practical guidance for practitioners to design and implement conservation initiatives;
- • Identify trade-offs to consider when designing and implementing initiatives to scale;
- • Develop regional and country capacity to apply scaling insights to conservation initiatives;
- • Support and expand a learning network of professionals working on scaling-up initiatives.
